Alain Mottet
Alain Mottet, born on December 30, 1928, in Lyon, France, was a distinguished French actor whose career spanned several decades until his passing on October 31, 2017, in Paris. Mottet's filmography boasts numerous appearances, primarily in supporting roles, but he made a significant impact in various notable productions. He starred in "L'Affaire de la malle à Gouffé" in 1965 and played a key role in the acclaimed film "L'Armée des ombres" in 1969, where he portrayed the prison camp overseer of Lino Ventura's character, Philippe Gerbier.
In the realm of television, Mottet gained recognition as Flambart, the relentless police officer pursuing Eugène François Vidocq in the 1967 series "Vidocq." He frequently collaborated with director Abder Isker, contributing to several episodes of "Au théâtre ce soir." One of his memorable television performances was as Shazénian in the enchanting fairytale "Shéhérazade," which aired in late 1971, where he took to the skies on a flying horse alongside actress Claude Jade.
