Jon F. Merz
Jon F. Merz is a versatile American author and actor based in Massachusetts. He completed his education at Boston Latin School in 1988 and pursued higher studies at UMass/Boston, focusing on Japanese and East Asian Studies. Following his academic journey, Jon served in the United States Air Force, dedicating several years to government work. After his military service, he transitioned into the corporate sector, where he specialized in safeguarding Fortune 500 companies and conducting sensitive investigations within the financial services realm.
An avid martial artist, Jon achieved a remarkable milestone by earning his 5th degree black belt in Togakure-ryu Ninjutsu directly from the 34th Grandmaster in Japan on February 16, 2003. He is a family man, happily married with two teenage sons, and enjoys engaging in various fitness activities, including CrossFit and GORUCK endurance challenges, all while embodying his personal motto, "Who Dares Lives."
Jon's literary career took off with the publication of his debut novel, The Fixer, in 2002 by Pinnacle Books/Kensington. Over the years, he has authored more than 40 novels, 20 novellas, and numerous short stories, notably contributing 11 titles to the popular Rogue Angel adventure series for Gold Eagle/Harlequin. In 2014, Jon ventured into modeling and acting, appearing in various commercials, the mini-series The Cars That Made America (2017), and playing Mr. Olsen, Chloe Grace Moretz's father, in the upcoming sci-fi thriller Mother/Android from Miramax.
