Peter Steen

Peter Steen was born in Randers in 1936. He completed his high school education in 1954 and pursued medical studies for a few years before shifting his focus to the performing arts. In 1960, he enrolled in the Royal Danish Theatre's acting school, and by 1963, he secured a position at the prestigious theatre. In 1974, he transitioned to a freelance career, showcasing his talent in various roles at notable venues such as the Rialto Theatre, the Folketeatret, and Odense Theatre.

Throughout his career, which began in the 1960s, Steen has not only been an accomplished actor but also a director since the late 1970s, helming numerous theatrical productions. His versatility and depth have made him a prominent figure in the Danish theatre scene.

Steen's personal life includes four marriages, notably to weaver Kim Naver and fellow actress Lisbet Lundquist. His memoir, "Tak skæbne," offers an intimate look at his life experiences and artistic journey, reflecting on both his triumphs and challenges.
