Agustín Almodóvar

Agustín Almodóvar Caballero, born in Calzada de Calatrava, is a prominent film producer known for his collaboration with his elder brother, renowned director Pedro Almodóvar. He pursued a degree in chemistry at the Complutense University of Madrid before venturing into the film industry. His career took off when he began working as a messenger on Fernando Trueba's film "Sé infiel y no mires con quién," which marked his entry into the world of cinema.

In 1986, Agustín and Pedro established their production company, El Deseo S.A., a pivotal moment that allowed them to bring their creative visions to life. Since then, Agustín has been instrumental in producing all of Pedro's films, contributing significantly to the Spanish film landscape. Under his guidance, El Deseo has also engaged in various French co-productions, further expanding their reach and influence in the international film community.

Throughout his career, Agustín has been recognized for his contributions to cinema, earning membership in the Academy of Cinematographic Arts and Sciences of Spain.
