Carlos Mestanza
Born in Barcelona, Carlos Mestanza is a Spanish actor and producer whose career spans both sides of the Atlantic, with bases in Los Angeles and Madrid. His passion for performance began at age six, and after formal training in drama, scriptwriting, dance, jazz, and funk, he moved to Madrid to pursue professional work in theatre, film, and television. Early credits include appearances in popular Spanish series such as *Central Hospital* and *Countdowns*.
With over 25 years of experience, Mestanza has performed in more than fifteen theatrical productions. His standout role in *Luces de Bohemia* earned him the Best Leading Actor award at the Barcelona Theatre Festival. Other notable stage works include *El zoo de cristal* and *Le Vilain Mire*, the latter winning the International Theatre Festival of Europe. He also starred in *Matar al presidente*, a production nominated for the Max Awards that ran for five seasons, totaling 1,500 performances and over 500,000 spectators.
Mestanza honed his screen craft under acclaimed filmmakers such as Vicente Aranda, Benito Zambrano, Ramón Salazar, and Imanol Uribe. In 2015, he founded and became head of the audiovisual production company American Road Films S.L. in Spain, a venture supported by prominent producers and directors from Europe, the United States, and Mexico.
