Pierre Kirby

Pierre Kirby is an English actor and martial artist best known for his roles in numerous films directed by Godfrey Ho. Seeking business opportunities, Kirby relocated to Hong Kong, where he crossed paths with Ho, who introduced him to the world of acting. Although the films he starred in received mixed to negative reviews, Kirby quickly became recognized for his striking looks and impressive martial arts abilities. Between 1987 and 1988, he appeared in approximately nine films, although the exact number and the specific years of production remain uncertain.

Following this burst of activity, Kirby vanished from the public eye, leading to various speculations about his fate, including rumors of piracy and even drowning. However, no credible evidence has surfaced to confirm any of these theories. Despite his disappearance, Kirby has maintained a significant cult following, particularly among fans of kung-fu and exploitation cinema, and he remains a well-known figure in Godfrey Ho's filmography.

In the late 2000s and early 2010s, Kirby experienced a resurgence in popularity, largely fueled by American internet film critic and comedian Brad Jones, famously known as The Cinema Snob.
