Frank Lenord Clayman Cook (January 6, 1942 – July 9, 2021) was a prominent American drummer known for his contributions to the blues genres through various bands, including Canned Heat, Pacific Gas & Electric, and Bluesberry Jam. His extensive musical background was rooted in jazz, where he collaborated with notable artists such as Charlie Haden, Chet Baker, and Elmo Hope, as well as soul musicians like Shirley Ellis and Dobie Gray.

Cook joined Canned Heat as their drummer after stepping in for Ron Holmes, eventually solidifying his place in the band until he was succeeded by Fito de la Parra. Following his tenure with Canned Heat, he became the drummer for Bluesberry Jam. Cook's involvement with Pacific Gas & Electric would see him transition from musician to manager, a role he embraced passionately.

His management skills came to the forefront during the band’s participation in Lawrence Schiller's film, "The Lexington Experience," where he meticulously transcribed the film to protect the band from potential legal issues regarding drug use. Unfortunately, a car accident curtailed his drumming career with Pacific Gas & Electric, leading to Ron Woods taking over.

In his later years, Cook shifted careers to become a psychoanalyst in California, studying at the Southern California Psychoanalytic Institute and the Institute for Contemporary Psychoanalysis in Los Angeles. He also served as president of the Southern California Psychoanalytic Society. Frank Cook passed away at his home in Marina del Rey on July 9, 2021.
