Ewen Leslie

Ewen Leslie, a talented actor hailing from Fremantle, Western Australia, embarked on his acting journey at the tender age of 12, making appearances in various television programs. His passion for the craft led him to secure a scholarship at the John Curtin College of the Arts, and he further honed his skills at the prestigious Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts immediately after graduating high school.

Leslie gained significant recognition for his leading role in the film *Jewboy*, which was showcased in the Un Certain Regard section at the Cannes Film Festival and the Discovery section at Sundance. His compelling performance earned him a nomination for an Australian Film Institute Award.

In 2007, he became a member of the Sydney Theatre Company Actor's Company, where he portrayed Prince Hal in *War of the Roses*, a role that allowed him to share the stage with the illustrious Cate Blanchett. Leslie's other notable theater performances with the Sydney Theatre Company include *Riflemind*, directed by Philip Seymour Hoffman, and an adaptation of *The Trial*, where he took on the role of Josef K.

In 2010, he brought to life the character of Richard III for the Melbourne Theatre Company, earning his second Helpmann Award and a Green Room Award. The following year, he captivated audiences as Hamlet in a highly successful season with the same company.
