Manis

Manis was a remarkable orangutan known for his iconic role as Clyde, the endearing sidekick to Clint Eastwood in the 1978 blockbuster film *Every Which Way But Loose*. However, when it came time for the 1980 sequel, *Any Which Way You Can*, Manis was unable to reprise his role. By that time, the talented orangutan had grown considerably, making him unsuitable for the character.

To fill the void left by Manis, the sequel introduced two other orangutans, C.J. and Buddha, who took on the beloved role of Clyde. Despite not appearing in the follow-up film, Manis's performance in the original movie left an enduring legacy and contributed to the film's charm.
