Omair Rana
Omair Rana, a prominent figure in the theatrical landscape of Pakistan, began his educational journey at the Al Ain English-speaking School in Al Ain, UAE, where he fostered a deep passion for the performing arts. As he advanced in his career, Rana gained invaluable experience through internships, including a notable stint at the Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry, which enriched his professional acumen.
Rana has significantly impacted the field of drama education, being a pioneer in introducing IGCSE Drama to Pakistan in 2009. His dedication to nurturing talent in young actors is evident in his directorial work at various educational institutions, where he has brought to life classic plays such as "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" in 2014 and "Life of Galileo" in 2013 at the Lahore Grammar School Johar Town campus.
In addition to his teaching and directing roles, Omair Rana is the founder of Real Entertainment Productions (REP), established in 2000. Under his leadership, REP has staged over 50 productions, showcasing a wide array of performances that have enriched the cultural fabric of the region. Through his efforts, Rana has become a vital force in the promotion and development of theatre arts in Pakistan, inspiring countless individuals to appreciate and engage with the world of drama.
