Bill Nighy
William Francis Nighy, born on December 12, 1949, is a distinguished English actor celebrated for his performances across both film and theater. His impressive accolades include two BAFTA Awards, a Golden Globe, and nominations for an Academy Award and a Tony Award.
Nighy began his acting journey at the Everyman Theatre in Liverpool, making his London debut with the Royal National Theatre in 1977 in *The Illuminatus!*. He earned critical praise for his roles in notable plays such as David Hare's *Pravda* (1985), Harold Pinter's *Betrayal* (1991), and Tom Stoppard's *Arcadia* (1993). He received a Laurence Olivier Award nomination for *Blue/Orange* in 2001 and made his Broadway debut in *The Vertical Hour* (2006), also starring in the revival of *Skylight* in 2015, which garnered him a Tony nomination.
