Nicholas Cooper
Nicholas G. Cooper hails from Queensland, Australia, where he grew up in a family of bricklayers. His early years were marked by a passion for rugby football, which he played in Sydney. During his stint in the National Rugby League (NRL), he ventured into acting with a small role in a romance promotional project. Although this initial foray did not lead to further opportunities, it sparked his interest in pursuing acting seriously.
Relocating to Brisbane, Nicholas confided in a friend’s girlfriend about his aspirations, leading to an introduction to a modeling agency that encouraged him to audition for acting schools. After completing his training, he spent two years in Sydney, where he only auditioned for commercials three times. Seeking creative outlets, he founded a production company in Queensland, focusing on street theatre to sustain himself and produce original works.
A significant turning point in his career occurred when his company was commissioned to create a Star Trek exhibit in Valencia, Spain, showcasing the behind-the-scenes artistry of the iconic series. This project marked his first major breakthrough and subsequently led to a presentation at Film Park in Babelsberg, Germany.
Nicholas's acting career officially began in 2005, featuring in a variety of shorts, feature films, and television roles. Noteworthy performances include a survivor in the 2009 horror/thriller film Malibu Shark Attack and the role of Duke Henry in the 2010 fantasy adaptation of Beauty and the Beast. He also made guest appearances in the 2011 sci-fi series Terra Nova. Balancing his career with family life, Nicholas continues to thrive in the entertainment industry.
