Terence Cao
Terence Cao has emerged as one of MediaCorp's most endearing talents, initially working as a flight steward before making his mark in the entertainment industry. In 1989, he joined the Singapore Broadcasting Corporation (SBC) after successfully completing the SBC 9th Professional Drama Performers' Training Course. Terence first gained recognition through supporting roles in productions like *Sweet Dreams* and *Imperial Intrigue*, but his breakthrough came in *Fatal Endearment*, where he played a wealthy son entangled in a complex love triangle.
As a dedicated actor, Terence has taken on a variety of leading roles across numerous drama serials. In 1995, he made history as the first full-time artiste to host a mini concert at Canto Pub. His musical talents extended to singing the theme song for *Triad Justice*, in which he starred, as well as a duet with Cynthia Koh for MediaCorp Music's compilation album in 2002. His role in the telemovie *Deep in the Night* saw him sharing the screen with renowned Hong Kong actress Loletta Lee, further enhancing his experience in international collaborations.
In 2002, Terence starred in the 30-part courtroom drama *Innocently Guilty* alongside stars like Anita Yuen and Kent Cheng, showcasing his versatility. He made a successful transition into comedy with the popular English sitcom *Oh! Carol*, where his chemistry with veteran actress Carol Cheng captivated audiences, making it a top-rated show. Terence's performance in *The Best Things In Life* earned him the 2011 Star Awards for Best Supporting Actor, and he has continued to shine in recent dramas such as *My Teacher Is a Thug*, *Jalan Jalan*, *Old Is Gold*, and *The Little Nyonya*.
