Sabrina Salerno
Sabrina Debora Salerno, widely recognized simply as Sabrina, is a multifaceted Italian talent celebrated as a singer, songwriter, record producer, glamour model, actress, and television host. Standing at 175 cm (5' 9"), she hails from Genoa, where she completed her education at the Foreign Languages High School. Sabrina's journey into the spotlight began at the young age of 15, when she began winning beauty contests, starting with Miss Seaside and subsequently Miss Liguria.
Her professional career took off in 1986 when she appeared as a show-girl on the TV program "Premiatissima," hosted by Johnny Dorelli. It was during this time that she met DJ and producer Claudio Cecchetto, who crafted her first hit, "Sexy Girl," which achieved notable success in both Italian and German music charts.
From 1987 to 1988, Sabrina showcased her singing talent on the "Sandra & Raimondo TV Show," and her debut album, simply titled "Sabrina," was released. The track "Boys," later remixed for international audiences, topped charts across Europe, South America, and Australia, solidifying her status as a sex symbol in Spain due to her vibrant Mediterranean allure. In the UK, she collaborated with renowned producers Stock Aitken and Waterman for the single "All of Me."
Sabrina made a significant return to television in 1990 alongside Raffaella Carrà in "Ricomincio da 2" on RAI 2. She participated in the prestigious Sanremo Festival in 1991, performing "Siamo donne" with Jo Squillo, which was later included in her album "Over the Pop." Following a successful international tour, she hosted "Bellezze sulla neve" on Channel 5.
