Gina Gomez
Gina Gomez Dunn is a talented Mexican-American filmmaker hailing from Maryland. She earned dual Bachelor’s degrees in Dance and Communications from the University of Maryland, which laid the groundwork for her creative career. Shortly after completing her studies, Gina relocated to Los Angeles to chase her dream of acting. She gained initial experience by participating in a variety of student films, short films, and web series.
Transitioning from acting to filmmaking, Gina partnered with Scott Dunn to co-write, produce, and star in her debut feature, “Schlep.” This film made its mark by premiering at the FirstGlance Film Festival in 2017, where it garnered nominations in five distinct categories, showcasing Gina's multifaceted talent.
In addition to “Schlep,” she also took on producing and acting roles in the film “Mandao of the Dead,” further cementing her presence in the industry. Gina's commitment to storytelling and her ability to wear multiple hats in the filmmaking process exemplify her dedication to her craft. Through her projects, she continues to make a significant impact, contributing to the representation of diverse voices in cinema.
