Thuraya Fakhry

Thuraya Fakhry, an accomplished Egyptian actress with Lebanese roots, was born in Zahle, Lebanon, into a modest family where her father was involved in the textile industry. From a young age, she exhibited a passion for acting, captivating audiences with her performance as a mother during school plays. After finishing her primary education, she joined one of the numerous theatrical troupes in Lebanon, further honing her craft.

At the age of 25, Thuraya moved to Egypt with her father, who sought new opportunities after closing his business in Lebanon. The duo settled in Alexandria, where she joined Ali Al-Kassar's renowned theatrical troupe. Over the course of her career, Thuraya graced the stage in around 32 productions, collaborating with various theater groups. While she gained a reputation for her poignant portrayals of maternal figures, she also showcased her versatility by taking on roles of refined, elegant women.
