Rebecca O'Mara
Rebecca O'Mara, hailing from Dublin, was raised in the coastal town of Sandycove. Born to Stephen and Veronica Jane O'Mara, she shares her life with siblings Jason and Stephen James.
Rebecca's academic journey began at Holy Child School in Killiney, followed by a degree in Drama and Theatre from Trinity College Dublin. After completing her studies, she relocated to London, where she gained valuable experience in film production before fully committing to her passion for acting.
In 2004, Rebecca enrolled at the prestigious London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art (LAMDA) to hone her craft. Since her graduation, she has established herself primarily in the realm of theatre. Her impressive credits include performances at renowned venues such as the Royal National Theatre, the West End, Theatre Royal Bath, and the English Touring Theatre, as well as the Bush Theatre and the Gate Theatre in Dublin.
A significant milestone in her career occurred in June 2014, when she made her debut at the iconic Abbey Theatre, portraying the character Alice in Brian Friel's acclaimed play "Aristocrats." Rebecca O'Mara's dedication to her art and her remarkable talent continue to resonate within the theatre community, marking her as a prominent figure in contemporary Irish theatre.
