Devonté Hynes

Devonté Hynes, born David Joseph Michael Hynes on December 23, 1985, is a multifaceted English artist renowned for his work as a singer, songwriter, record producer, and director. He first gained attention as a member of the band Test Icicles from 2004 to 2006, where he showcased his talents as a guitarist and synth player, also contributing vocals. The group released their debut album in 2005, which helped establish Hynes in the music scene.

After departing from Test Icicles, Hynes embarked on a solo career under the moniker Lightspeed Champion, releasing two studio albums before evolving his musical style and identity as Blood Orange.
