Cynthia Wood

Cynthia Wood, born on September 25, 1950, in Burbank, California, has made a mark in the entertainment industry with her vibrant personality and talent. Growing up in a creative environment, with her father Harold working as a recording executive and her mother Erma as an actress, Cynthia initially pursued music at Los Angeles City College and Los Angeles Valley College. However, she transitioned to theater before ultimately deciding to leave college in 1971.

Wood gained recognition as Playmate of the Month in the February 1973 edition of "Playboy," and her popularity soared when she was named Playmate of the Year in 1974. A decade later, she graced the pages of "Playboy" once more with a feature in the April 1984 issue.

In addition to her modeling career, Cynthia made her film debut in the classic comedy "Shampoo," where she played a beauty shop customer. She showcased her comedic talent as the spirited character Moon in the cult favorite "Van Nuys Blvd." Wood also left a lasting impression in the iconic film "Apocalypse Now," where her role as one of the dancing Playmates was notably expanded in the 2001 "Redux" version.
