Marko Matvere
Marko Matvere, born on February 4, 1968, in Pärnu, Estonia, is a distinguished actor, singer, and director with a celebrated career in the performing arts. He completed his secondary education at Pärnu 1st Secondary School in 1986, after which he pursued his passion for the arts at the Tallinn Conservatory, graduating from its Performing Arts Department in 1990. Matvere began his professional journey at the Tallinn City Theatre, where he captivated audiences until 2004, after which he embarked on a freelance career.
Matvere's extensive repertoire includes notable roles in acclaimed musicals such as "Les Misérables," "Tanz der Vampire," "The Sound of Music," and "Miss Saigon." He has also starred in several films, most prominently in "Georg," and various television series. His talents were showcased on an international stage when he co-hosted the Eurovision Song Contest in 2002 alongside Annely Peebo. Additionally, he hosted the TV series "Songs with Stars" with Karin Rask.
A member of the "Väikeste lõõtspillide ühing" ("Association of Little Accordions") since 1989, Matvere has collaborated with Jaan Tätte, producing two albums. His film debut came in "Suflöör" in 1993, and he has since lent his voice to numerous films and TV series, both domestically and internationally. He is married to Tiina Matvere and is a proud father to two children, Matilde and Oskar.
