Alexandra Pigg

Alexandra Pigg, born in 1962 in Knotty Ash, Liverpool, is a distinguished British actress renowned for her compelling performances on both television and film. She first gained widespread recognition for her role as Petra Taylor in the popular soap opera Brookside. Pigg's film career includes notable performances such as Elaine in Letter to Brezhnev (1985), a role that earned her a BAFTA nomination, and Bridget Baines in A Chorus of Disapproval (1988).

Her filmography is diverse and impressive, featuring key roles in productions like the BBC film Smart Money (1986), the romantic drama Strapless (1989) alongside Bridget Fonda, Chicago Joe and the Showgirl (1990) with Kiefer Sutherland and Emily Lloyd, and the action-comedy Bullseye! (1990) featuring legends Michael Caine and Roger Moore. Pigg also appeared in the critically acclaimed Immortal Beloved (1994) opposite Gary Oldman.
