15 titles Acting Oct 02, 1952 New York City, New York, USA

Robin Riker comes from a rich lineage of performers, being a third-generation actress on both sides of her family. Although she nearly made her entrance into the world in a taxi on the Brooklyn Bridge, she was ultimately born at Beth Israel hospital in New York City. Her parents, who were both dedicated actors, managed legitimate theaters in Aspen, Atlanta, and Syracuse, adhering to a straightforward belief: “If you have children, use them.” This philosophy meant that Robin was immersed in the theatrical world from an early age, participating on stage, in the box office, and even selling cookies in the lobby. She has undergone classical training since she was two, spending several years with the esteemed Colorado Shakespeare Festival. Throughout her career, she has balanced her time between theater, film, and television, and despite her extensive work in TV and film, she considers the stage to be her true passion.

Robin's television credits feature leading roles in six different series, including The Gregory Hines Show on CBS, Thunder Alley with Edward Asner on ABC, and the influential Showtime series, Brothers, which garnered her two Ace Award nominations for Best Actress in a Comedy. She is also known for her memorable role as Chris Elliott’s rival in the cult classic comedy Get A Life, which earned a place in TV Guide’s list of "Fifty Funniest TV Moments of All Time." Her impressive list of guest appearances includes shows like Last Man Standing, Bones, and NCIS, among others. In addition to her television work, Riker has appeared in notable films such as The Wedding Party and John Sayles’ cult classic Alligator.

On stage, her credits include memorable performances in All My Sons alongside Neil Patrick Harris, for which she received an Ovation nomination for Best Supporting Actress, and George Furth's provocative play Sex, Sex, Sex, Sex, and Sex, also garnering an LA Weekly nomination. Additionally, she has been involved in numerous productions in both Los Angeles and New York City.
