Miwa Kawagoe

Miwa Kawagoe (川越美和) is a distinguished former Japanese pop singer and actress, who made her mark in the entertainment industry in the late 1980s. In 1988, she launched her music career with her debut single, "Looking at You." Her fourth release, "Yume Dake Miteru," garnered significant acclaim, earning her the Rookie of the Year title at the prestigious 31st Annual Nihon Record Taishou, solidifying her status as an emerging talent.

In parallel with her music career, Kawagoe ventured into acting, making her television debut in the drama series "Jiken desu yo Heisei Gannen." Throughout the 1990s, she briefly adopted the stage name Hatause Kaoru and continued to expand her acting repertoire, featuring in numerous dramas and films that showcased her versatility.

Kawagoe's contributions to the Japanese entertainment landscape were notable, particularly as a member of the gravure group Momoco Club, which helped establish her presence in the industry.
