Aleksandr Ustyugov
Aleksandr Ustyugov is a multifaceted Russian actor, director, and musician, born on October 17, 1976, in Ekibastuz, Kazakhstan. His early career saw him training as a locksmith-electrician and working at the "Vostochny" coal mine before pursuing studies in railway engineering. His passion for the arts led him to the Omsk Youth Theater, where he began as a lighting technician, and later, he enrolled at the Omsk College of Culture and Arts.
In 1999, Ustyugov's journey took a significant turn when he was accepted into the prestigious Boris Shchukin Theatre Institute. Here, he showcased his directorial talent by staging the graduation production of "And the Dawn is Quiet Here..." alongside his classmates, as well as directing "These Free Butterflies."
From 2003 until 2014, he was a prominent figure at the Russian Academic Youth Theatre, contributing to various productions. He made his television debut in 2000 with the series "Marsh Turketskogo," but it was his role as Roman Shilov in the popular crime drama "Mentsovskie Vojny" ("Cop Wars") that catapulted him to fame.
In 2015, Ustyugov founded the music group "Ekibastuz," further channeling his artistic expression. Outside of his creative pursuits, he enjoys sports, photography, motocross, and has a keen interest in collecting antique keys, furniture, and weapons, reflecting his diverse passions and eclectic interests.
