Marla Maples
Marla Maples, born on October 27, 1963, in Dalton, Georgia, is an accomplished American actress, television personality, and socialite, widely recognized for her marriage to businessman Donald Trump. She is the daughter of Ann, a former office worker, and Stan Maples, a real estate developer; her parents later divorced, with Stan remarrying a high school classmate of Marla's. Interestingly, Marla is a distant cousin of actress Heather Locklear.
Growing up, she excelled in athletics, particularly as a star player on the varsity basketball teams at Northwest Whitfield High School in Tunnel Hill, Georgia.
Maples' relationship with Donald Trump began in 1986 while he was still married to Ivana Trump, and their affair lasted nearly two years before it became public. This revelation led to a dramatic confrontation between Ivana and Marla on a ski slope in Aspen in 1991, which was extensively covered by the media and ultimately resulted in Ivana filing for divorce. Marla and Donald share one daughter, Tiffany Ariana Trump, born on October 13, 1993, whose name pays homage to the Tiffany & Co. building.
After their divorce, which was partly influenced by a scandal involving a police officer, Marla attempted to write a book about her experiences with Trump, titled "All That Glitters is Not Gold," but the project was halted due to legal threats from Trump. Following a brief engagement to producer Michael Mailer, Maps currently embraces her role as a spiritualist and single mother while hosting her own radio show on Contact Talk Radio, airing the first Friday of each month.
