Ryan McEwen hails from Edmonton, Alberta, where his journey in the performing arts began at the tender age of six when he took his first tap dancing class. This initial spark ignited a lifelong passion for various dance styles. During his teenage years, Ryan also demonstrated his athleticism by participating in volleyball, ball hockey, and competitive gymnastics, which kept him agile and airborne. Alongside his dance pursuits, he is also a talented pianist.

Ryan honed his skills in street dance at Edmonton's Kore Dance Studio under the mentorship of Alexander Chung. His dedication and talent contributed to the team's remarkable achievements, including winning the Canadian Hip Hop Championship and securing a top ten position at the prestigious Hip Hop International competition. In his senior year, he furthered his training by attending the Monsters Dance Convention and studying at various studios in Los Angeles. His hard work earned him the Kore Outstanding Male Dancer Award and the Artists Emerge Scholarship.

Recently, Ryan signed with da Costa Talent and is eager to advance his career in the performing arts. Shortly after relocating to Vancouver, he landed his first dancer role in Netflix's "Julie and the Phantoms," directed by the renowned Kenny Ortega. Known for his enthusiasm, infectious smile, and relentless work ethic, Ryan McEwen is poised to make a significant impact in the entertainment industry.
