Steven James Anderson, known widely by his ring name "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, is a prominent figure in American entertainment, renowned as both a film and television actor and a retired professional wrestler affiliated with WWE. Over his illustrious wrestling career, Austin showcased his talents in several prominent promotions, including World Championship Wrestling (WCW), Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW), and most notably, the World Wrestling Federation (WWF), which rebranded as World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) in 2002.

During the height of the Attitude Era in the mid-to-late 1990s, Austin emerged as "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, a rebellious, beer-drinking antihero who frequently challenged authority, particularly his boss, Vince McMahon. His signature move, the Stone Cold Stunner, became iconic, often accompanying his infamous gesture of defiance towards McMahon. In recognition of his impact, McMahon inducted Austin into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2009.

Austin's accolades include holding nineteen championships, recognized by WWE as a six-time world champion and the fifth Triple Crown Champion. He won the King of the Ring tournament in 1996 and triumphed in the Royal Rumble in 1997, 1998, and 2001. However, injuries led to his retirement from active competition in 2003. He later served as Co-General Manager of Raw and returned in 2011 to host the reality show Tough Enough. Despite controversy, including legal issues in 2002, Austin's legacy as a wrestling icon remains unmatched.
