Sean Garrison, a striking and reserved American actor, made his mark in the film and television landscape of the 1950s and 60s, often portraying military personnel or rugged outdoor characters. Although he never rose to the heights of major movie stardom, Garrison found his niche in television, appearing as a guest star in various westerns and police dramas. Born in New York City, he left school at 14 to explore a variety of jobs, from working on ranches to sponge boats, before securing a position at the ABC film vaults in Hollywood. His career took off when he was signed by Warner Brothers, making his film debut in a minor role in 1958. Garrison honed his craft at the Actor's Studio in New York, even taking on seasonal work as a Santa Claus at Macy's.

In the early 60s, he graced the Broadway stage twice and took on the role of Lancelot in a touring production of Camelot, a role he was initially considered for in the film adaptation but ultimately lost to Franco Nero. His most notable film role came in the psychological thriller Moment to Moment (1966), where he starred alongside Jean Seberg. Despite receiving mixed reviews, he continued to work in television, briefly co-starring with John Mills in the ill-fated series Dundee and the Culhane (1967). After this venture was canceled, Garrison stepped back from acting in the early 80s to establish a career in swimming pool construction.
