Patricia Noëlle Kaas, born on December 5, 1966, in Forbach, Lorraine, France, is a celebrated French singer and actress known for her unique blend of pop, cabaret, jazz, and chanson. Growing up in Stiring-Wendel, she was influenced by her Germanophone father, Joseph, and her mother, Irmgard, a German national. Kaas began her musical journey at a young age, performing at family events and local contests, where her talent quickly became evident.
Her professional career kicked off at 13 when she signed with a club in Saarbrücken, taking on the stage name Pady Pax. Despite early setbacks, including a producer's dismissal of her potential, her fortunes changed dramatically when actor Gérard Depardieu recognized her talent.
