Chris Eigeman
Chris Eigeman, born on March 1, 1965, is a prominent American actor celebrated for his performances in Whit Stillman’s films, including *Metropolitan*, *Barcelona*, and *The Last Days of Disco*. Known for portraying articulate and sharp-witted characters, Eigeman often infuses his roles with a distinct sense of sarcasm.
In addition to his work with Stillman, Eigeman has an extensive filmography that includes notable appearances in *Kicking and Screaming*, *Crazy Little Thing* (also known as *The Perfect You*), *Mr. Jealousy*, and the romantic comedy *Maid in Manhattan*, where he played John Bextrum. His versatility extends to television, with roles in series such as *It’s Like, You Know...*, *Gilmore Girls* (as Jason Stiles), *Malcolm in the Middle*, *Homicide: Life on the Street*, and *Fringe*. In 1992, he filmed a pilot for an American adaptation of the British cult classic *Red Dwarf*, taking on the role of Arnold Rimmer, although the series was ultimately not produced.
In the mid-1990s, Eigeman gained additional recognition through a series of Pacific Bell commercials that showcased his trademark sardonic delivery, always dressed in a dark suit and tie. He also ventured into writing and directing, notably with the film *Turn the River*.
