Clay von Carlowitz

Clay von Carlowitz is a versatile actor and filmmaker residing in New York City. He graduated from Kenyon College and made his mark in the film industry with his debut feature, 'The House in the Woods,' where he showcased his talents as an actor, writer, and director. His career gained momentum when he took on the role of Eugene in Troma's cult classic, 'Return to Nuke 'Em High.'

Von Carlowitz's theatrical pursuits include a performance in the satirical comedy 'Ophelia' with Gotham Dance Theater and a compelling portrayal in 'Danny and the Deep Blue Sea' at the Robert Moss Theater in the East Village. He has also lent his talents to the Kafka-inspired web series 'Under InspeKtion,' Liam Regan's horror comedy 'My Bloody Banjo,' and Michael Walker's meta-slasher film 'Cut Shoot Kill.'

Under the banner of Abandoned House Productions, co-founded with his wife Asta Paredes, he further demonstrated his creative range by writing, directing, and acting in 'The Shadow Scarf,' and co-producing Paredes' 'The Slightest Touch.' His recent performances in horror shorts 'Scorch' and 'They Never Left' have garnered attention on the festival circuit. He is set to appear in 'Eros Point,' a romantic arthouse horror short, and is actively working on developing a feature-length thriller based on his own screenplay.
