Roland MacLeod
Roland MacLeod (1935 – 3 April 2010) was a distinguished English actor renowned for his contributions to both film and television, hailing from London.
Throughout his career, MacLeod showcased his versatility across a range of television series. His notable appearances included iconic shows such as *Coronation Street*, *Softly, Softly*, and *Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em*. He was also part of the ensemble in *Ripping Yarns*, *The Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin*, and *Sykes*, among others. One of his memorable roles was in *Grange Hill*, where he portrayed a humorous workman with a distinctive comb-over, often clashing with the school’s staff and students, yet revealing a softer side when he helped clean a fellow character's coat. MacLeod also brought to life the eccentric Head Teacher in *The Boot Street Band*, a series penned by Steve Attridge and Andrew Davies.
In film, his talents were on display in John Cleese's comedic classic *A Fish Called Wanda*, where he took on the role of a vicar.
