Ronan Vibert
Ronan David Jackson Vibert (February 23, 1964 – December 22, 2022) was a talented English actor celebrated for his extensive work across film, television, and theater in both the UK and the US. Born in Cambridge to artists Dilys and David Vibert, and raised in Penarth, South Wales, he pursued his passion for acting at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA), graduating in 1985.
Vibert's career spanned several decades, during which he made memorable appearances in numerous television series. Notable credits include roles in "Lovejoy," "Chandler & Co," "Between the Lines," and the BBC's "The Buccaneers." He also featured in ITV's "Cadfael," "Inspector Lewis," and "Van der Valk," as well as playing Wilmot, Lord Pershore in "Jeeves and Wooster." His television repertoire further expanded with appearances in "Rome," "Poirot," "The Borgias," and the Emmy-winning miniseries "Hatfields & McCoys," alongside stars like Kevin Costner and Bill Paxton.
On stage, Vibert was a familiar face at prestigious venues, including the National Theatre, where he portrayed Prince Andre in "War and Peace," and the RSC. His film work encompassed roles in acclaimed productions such as "Shadow of the Vampire," "The Pianist," and "Saving Mr. Banks," where he played publisher Diarmuid Russell.
Vibert passed away on December 22, 2022, in Florida at the age of 58, leaving behind a legacy of remarkable performances and contributions to the arts.
