Barry Windham
Barry Clinton Windham, an American semi-retired professional wrestler, carries a rich legacy in the world of wrestling, being the son of the famed Blackjack Mulligan. Notably recognized for his contributions to the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) and World Championship Wrestling (WCW), Windham's illustrious career includes a plethora of championship titles. He held the NWA World Heavyweight Championship once, and was a one-time United States Heavyweight Champion, Television Champion, and Western States Heritage Champion. Windham showcased his tag team prowess by winning the NWA/WCW World Tag Team Championship four times and the NWA United States Tag Team Championship alongside Ron Garvin.
In the World Wrestling Federation (WWF), he achieved success as a two-time World Tag Team Champion, teaming with his brother-in-law, Mike Rotunda. His induction into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2012 as part of the legendary Four Horsemen marked a significant milestone in his career. During his final stint with WCW, Windham was initially brought back by Eric Bischoff, later aligning with the nWo Hollywood faction and forming a tag team with Curt Hennig. Together, they captured the WCW World Tag Team Championship at SuperBrawl IX.
Windham’s career extended beyond wrestling, as he served as a producer for WWE and appeared in various documentaries, including the 2007 DVD on Ric Flair and the Four Horsemen. He is the father of two children, Callan and Abigail, and the uncle of current WWE stars Bray Wyatt and Bo Dallas. Despite facing health challenges, including a serious heart attack in 2011, Windham's legacy in wrestling continues to endure.
