Ron Gans
Ron Gans may not be a household name, but his iconic voice is instantly recognizable to enthusiasts of 1970s drive-in exploitation films. Known for his rich, velvety tones, Gans provided the voice for numerous trailers produced by Roger Corman’s New World Pictures. His work includes memorable titles such as "The Student Nurses," "The Big Doll House," "Bury Me An Angel," "Night Call Nurses," "The Big Bird Cage," "The Arena," "Caged Heat," and "The Great Texas Dynamite Chase." Additionally, he lent his vocal talents to the trailers of "Terminal Island" and "The Little Girl Who Lives Down the Lane."
Gans's booming voice also featured in radio spots for horror classics like John Carpenter's "Halloween" and Lucio Fulci's "Zombie." He humorously parodied his own trailer work in the hilarious sketch "Catholic High School Girls in Trouble" from the cult classic film "The Kentucky Fried Movie." He showcased his comedic chops further as a flamboyant cooking instructor in "Revenge of the Cheerleaders."
