William Dembski

William Albert "Bill" Dembski, born on July 18, 1960, is a prominent American analytic philosopher recognized for his advocacy of intelligent design and the development of the concept known as specified complexity. Currently, he serves as a Research Professor of Philosophy and the Director of the Center for Cultural Engagement at the Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. Additionally, he holds a senior fellowship at the Discovery Institute's Center for Science and Culture.

Dembski has authored several influential works that delve into the intersection of science and theology, including notable titles such as *The Design Inference* (1998), *Intelligent Design: The Bridge between Science and Theology* (1999), *The Design Revolution* (2004), *The End of Christianity* (2009), and *Intelligent Design Uncensored* (2010). His work argues that the complexity of life is indicative of an intelligent designer, which can be empirically observed through probability theory, particularly in demonstrating irreducible complexity.
