Hasaan Gilmer
Hasaan Gilmer, a Philadelphia native, spent his formative years in Brooklyn, New York, under the care of his grandmother. It was in this vibrant city that he cultivated a passion for both art and athletics, particularly baseball and basketball. His life took a significant turn when he crossed paths with renowned rapper Foxy Brown, who introduced him to the music industry, taking him along on her tour adventures. This experience led to appearances on popular television shows such as "Rap City: The Bassment" and "106 & Park," as well as in various music videos and DVDs. However, the glamorous lifestyle of a rap star soon revealed itself to be less appealing than it appeared, prompting Hasaan to reassess his path.
Embracing a desire for creative expression, Hasaan turned to acting as a constructive outlet. He honed his craft under the guidance of Ron Millkie, a seasoned Meisner acting coach known for his work in "Friday the 13th." Hasaan's performances are marked by a unique blend of charm and intensity. A fortuitous encounter with actor Gbenga Akinnagbe further propelled his career, enabling him to secure roles in theater and film. Today, Hasaan Gilmer continues to share his artistic talents with audiences, remaining committed to his personal and professional growth in the entertainment industry.
