Vivienne Soan

Vivienne Soan graduated with a degree in Drama from Goldsmiths College in 1977 and quickly embarked on her professional journey with a five-year European tour as part of a comedic ensemble. In the early 1980s, she became a prominent figure within London's alternative comedy scene, performing at the original Comedy Store. It was during this vibrant period that she met her future husband, fellow comic performer Martin Soan, with whom she has shared a successful partnership for nearly three decades.

While raising two daughters, Vivienne also pursued her passion for music, particularly as a saxophonist. From 1988 to 2012, she showcased her talent with various bands across genres such as Funk, Punk, and Glam Rock, performing live as well as contributing to music videos, films, and radio productions. A notable highlight of her musical career came in 2002 when she played the tenor saxophone in the Kit Kat band for the acclaimed stage production of Cabaret at the Chichester Festival Theatre.

Vivienne has successfully balanced her creative endeavors in both comedy and music, leaving a lasting impact on both fields. Her versatility and dedication to her craft continue to inspire those in the performing arts community.
