Leila Farzad

Leila Effat Farzad, born on December 30, 1981, in London to Iranian parents, is a prominent British actress celebrated for her compelling performances in both television and theater. Her breakout role came as Naomi Jones in the critically acclaimed Sky Atlantic series *I Hate Suzie* (2020–2022), which garnered her a nomination for the British Academy Television Award for Best Supporting Actress.

Farzad's passion for acting was ignited by her experiences attending National Theatre productions with her aunt, although her parents encouraged her to prioritize education. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Modern Languages, specializing in French and Italian Literature, from Worcester College, Oxford, before honing her craft at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, where she felt a deep sense of belonging.

Her career commenced with voice work in the beloved children's series *Peppa Pig*, followed by her live-action debut in the ITV police drama *Law & Order: UK*. Farzad's stage presence was first showcased in the title role of *Miriam Gonzalez.
