Madeleine Madden
Madeleine Madden, born on January 29, 1997, is a talented Australian actress known for her impactful performances and significant contributions to the film industry. At just 13 years old, she made history as the first teenager in Australia to deliver a national address, speaking on the future of Indigenous Australians during a two-minute speech that reached an audience of 6 million viewers across the country. Growing up in a politically active family, she is the great-granddaughter of Arrernte elder Hetty Perkins, the granddaughter of renowned activist and soccer player Charles Perkins, and the daughter of art curator Hetti Perkins, with her aunt being acclaimed director Rachel Perkins.
Madden's notable roles include her performances in Australia's first Indigenous teen drama, *Ready for This*, and the critically acclaimed series *Redfern Now*. She has also appeared in *The Moodys*, *Jack Irish*, *My Place*, and *The Code*. In 2016, she portrayed a lead character in the miniseries *Tomorrow, When the War Began*, adapted from John Marsden's popular young adult novels.
