John Ross Bowie
John Ross Bowie, born on May 30, 1971, is an accomplished American actor and comedian celebrated for his role as Barry Kripke on the iconic television series The Big Bang Theory. His comedic talents extend beyond the small screen; he gained recognition as the face of "Ben E. Fitz," a character featured in Target Corporation's advertising campaigns. Bowie has also showcased his versatility in commercials for Progressive Insurance and starred alongside Marlee Matlin in the thought-provoking film What The Bleep Do We Know?
Aside from his notable television work, Bowie has made memorable guest appearances on various shows, including Reno 911 and Glee. In March 2011, he expanded his commercial portfolio by featuring in a series of ads for the Ford Motor Company.
An active participant in the sketch comedy scene, Bowie regularly performs at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater (UCBT) in both New York and Los Angeles. He was a member of the sketch group "The Naked Babies," alongside comedians Rob Corddry, Seth Morris, and Brian Huskey, and he continues to appear in Corddry's Adult Swim series, Childrens Hospital.
