Chris Tashima is a celebrated American actor and director, recognized for his impactful contributions to independent cinema. He gained acclaim for his role as the romantic lead in Eric Byler's film *Americanese*, which earned a Special Jury Prize for Outstanding Ensemble Cast at the South by Southwest (SXSW) Festival. Tashima's performance as Papa Nakaji in Tim Savage's World War II family drama *Under the Blood Red Sun* garnered him the Best Actor in a Supporting Role award at the inaugural Love International Film Festival. His portrayal of Shigeo Yoshida, a notable educator and activist, in the origin story of the 442nd Regimental Combat Team titled *Go For Broke* further showcased his talent.

In his latest projects, Tashima took on the role of Uncle Bob in the generational family comedy *No No Girl*, directed by Paul Daisuke Goodman, earning two nominations at the Austin Revolution Film Festival.
