Lin Yun (林允), widely recognized by her English name Jelly Lin, is a prominent Chinese actress celebrated for her captivating performances in film and television. She gained widespread acclaim for her role as the leading lady in Stephen Chow's blockbuster 2016 film, The Mermaid, which became the highest-grossing film in China.

Born Fei Xia (费霞) on April 16, 1996, in Huzhou, Zhejiang, Lin hails from humble beginnings, with her father working as a porter and her mother as a housewife. Her education in the arts began at Huzhou No. 12 Middle School, followed by further studies at a performing arts institution in Beijing.

At just 18, Lin's career took off when she was chosen for the lead role in The Mermaid, which catapulted her into the limelight. In the same year, she also appeared in the fantasy adventure L.O.R.D: Legend of Ravaging Dynasties, showcasing her versatility as an actress.

Lin continued to collaborate with Stephen Chow, portraying the White Bone Spirit in Journey to the West: Conquering the Demons 2 (2017). She expanded her repertoire with roles in Disney's romantic comedy The Dreaming Man and the historical epic Genghis Khan.

In 2018, she made her television debut in the fantasy wuxia series Battle Through the Heavens, followed by roles in the romance dramas Beautiful Reborn Flower and Cantabile Youth. Lin's success continued with her lead role in the film Fall in Love at First Kiss (2019), a remake of a Taiwanese series, and she reprised her iconic character in the sequel to The Mermaid. Notably, Lin had a brief romantic relationship with her co-star Song Weilong during the filming of Beautiful Reborn Flower in 2017.
