Melanie Kilburn

Sarah Melanie Jean Kilburn is a celebrated English actress, best known for her memorable portrayal of Laura Bryant in the ITV police drama series, *The Bill*. She initially appeared as Sandra Conway, the wife of CI Derek Conway, in earlier episodes, marking the beginning of her impactful career. Kilburn's acting journey commenced in 1983 when she featured as Maureen in *The Company Car*. She made her mark in British television with an appearance in *Casualty* in 1990 and later played the character Eve Elliott in the iconic soap opera *Coronation Street* in 2001.

Kilburn gained significant recognition for her role as Jill in the BBC series *Making Out*, which spanned three seasons, and for her performance as Carol Anderson in *Soldier Soldier*. In 1999, she took on the role of Sandra in *Where the Heart Is* and became a regular as Liz in *Peak Practice* during its 2000 run.

In 2017, she showcased her talent in *God's Own Country*, sharing the screen with Josh O'Connor and Ian Hart.
