Richard "Rick" Howland is a Canadian actor based in Los Angeles, renowned for his portrayal of Trick in the acclaimed SyFy series "Lost Girl," which enjoyed five successful seasons. In 2019 and early 2020, Howland showcased his versatility by taking on various roles, including Borachio in a production of "Much Ado About Nothing," the antagonist in "Captain Tsunami's Army," and a notable appearance as a severed head in "Good Head." He also played the were-goat Dr. Stan in the web series "The Vamps Next Door," where he contributed as a writer.

Howland's career features multiple collaborations with actor Yannick Bisson, appearing together in "Murdoch Mysteries," "Sue Thomas F.B.Eye," and "Crazy For Christmas." A highlight of his film career came with his role as Harry Buttman, the Commissioner of the Hockey League, in the blockbuster "Bon Cop Bad Cop," sharing the screen with stars Patrick Huard and Colm Feore. He also starred as the son of Canadian actress Jayne Eastwood in "Endless Grind."

His comedic talents were further showcased in the improvisational show "Train 48" and a recurring role as Keach, the Computer Tech, on "Billable Hours."
