John Brown

He portrayed "John Doe" in the Texaco Star Theater's adaptation of Fred Allen's Allen's Alley and played Al, the romantic interest of Irma, in My Friend Irma. Brown also brought to life both "Gillis" and Digby "Digger" O'Dell in The Life of Riley, a role he reprised in the show's initial television adaptation. Additionally, he was known as "Broadway" in The Damon Runyon Theatre and "Thorny," the neighbor in the radio version of The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet.
