Dominic Gerard Francis Eagleton West, born on October 15, 1969, is an accomplished English actor, director, producer, and musician. He gained widespread recognition for his portrayal of Detective Jimmy McNulty in HBO's critically acclaimed series, The Wire, which aired from 2002 to 2008. West's remarkable talent was further showcased in Showtime's The Affair (2014–2019), where he played Noah Solloway and earned a nomination for a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor in a Television Series – Drama. His impressive career also includes memorable roles such as Fred, Ebenezer Scrooge's nephew, in A Christmas Carol (1999) and Prince Charles in the Netflix series The Crown (2022–2023), earning him nominations for both a Golden Globe and a Primetime Emmy Award.

West made his television debut in the BBC medical drama Out of Hours in 1998 and appeared in notable films such as 28 Days (2000) and Nicholas Nickleby (2001).
