Jaylah Ji'mya Hickmon, professionally recognized as Doechii, was born on August 14, 1998, and has emerged as a prominent figure in the American music scene, blending rap and singing. She first garnered attention with her debut EP, *Oh the Places You'll Go*, released in 2020. However, it was her 2021 hit "Yucky Blucky Fruitcake" that truly catapulted her into the spotlight, gaining immense popularity on TikTok.

In a significant career move, Doechii signed with Top Dawg Entertainment and Capitol Records, leading to the release of her second EP, *She/Her/Black Bitch*, in 2022. The standout track "Persuasive" not only showcased her versatility but also featured a remix with SZA, landing Doechii on the Billboard Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay charts. In 2023, she continued to build on her success with the release of "What It Is (Block Boy)," featuring Kodak Black, which marked her debut on the Billboard Hot 100, achieving a peak position of number 60.
