Simon Weir
Simon Weir is widely recognized for his role as the rebellious mechanic Paul Lafferty in STV's HIGH ROAD, a part he played from 1995 until 2003. In addition to this notable performance, he featured in six episodes of BBC Scotland's RIVER CITY as the notorious gangster Graham MacLaverty, which included a memorable appearance in the 2008 Christmas Special. Simon's film career includes roles in two feature films directed by Irvine Welsh: THE ACID HOUSE and T2 TRAINSPOTTING.
His acting training began at the Dorothy Paul Studio in 1986 and continued at Motherwell College. Simon has also made a mark in theater, participating in UK tours of productions such as KIDNAPPED, where he portrayed Alan Breck, and SINGIN IM NO A BILLY HES A TIM, taking on the character of Tim. In recognition of his talent, he was awarded 'Best Acting' at the 48 Hour Film Festival in 2014, further highlighting his skills and dedication to the craft.
