Tamila Koulieva
Tamilla Fakhraddinovna Kulieva, born on February 16, 1967, in Baku, is a distinguished Greek-Russian actress known for her work across theater, film, and television. She pursued her education in directing at the Moscow State University of Culture and honed her acting skills at the prestigious Moscow State University of Cinematography (VGIK), ultimately earning a master's degree in Fine Arts.
In addition to her acting career, Kulieva has made significant contributions as an educator, teaching improvisation and acting techniques inspired by Michael Chekhov at various drama schools, including the National Theater of Greece and the State Theater of Northern Greece. Her involvement in the arts extends to her participation in the theater group "Uzatsovka" in Moscow and her roles in four Russian films.
Kulieva's influence in the film industry is recognized through her roles as a jury member at notable festivals such as the Thessaloniki International Film Festival and the Athens International Film Festival “Premiere Nights.” Her remarkable achievements have earned her the UNESCO Gold Medal for Arts, Letters and Sciences and she holds the title of honorary member at Baku Slavic University. Furthermore, her philanthropic efforts have been acknowledged by the Hadjikyriake Foundation for Child Protection. She also created and presented the documentary series "Athens Calls Moscow," which aired on ERT, Greece’s public broadcaster, showcasing her creative vision.
